Solid Waste Services has the formula for keeping you healthy and fit! We’ll be sharing that formula during the Food Too Good To Waste Challenge Kickoff (F2G2W) on Thursday, May 3 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Solid Waste Facility – 1105 Otts Street.
The kickoff prepares you for the Food Too Good To Waste Challenge, a six-week challenge that teaches you how to shop, prepare and store food differently to reduce your food waste and improve your health. During the kickoff, we will give you several of the key components for reducing your waist - and your waste! You’ll also learn more about how eating more fresh fruits and vegetables and composting can not only help your waist, but your waste. Past F2G2W Challenge participants lost 9 pounds and three pant sizes by following our formula of reducing waste to improve your personal health. At the kickoff we’re going to feed your body a meal while we feed your mind waste management knowledge. You can earn prizes during the challenge, you just have to participate to win them.
You ready? The F2G2W Challenge starts Sunday, May 6. Registering for the F2G2W Kickoff automatically registers you for the F2G2W Challenge. Get inspired! And watch how the challenge has changed others.
